Simplicity takes the form of a cloudy day on the beach with Daria in sheer blouses and slouchy blazers. As the face of Miayet's Spring 2012 collection, Daria exudes the ease and free spirited essence exuded by the clothes. All of the pieces have that certain effortlessness that I crave for that perfect spring outfit. I love the light, almost oversized quality of the trench coats and of course my weakness, socks with pastel heals.

Cartier designed this video titled, L'Odyssée de Cartier, following the journey of one of it's crystalized panthers, breaking free of its diamond encapsulation and roaming the Cartier world.

This spread for Muse Magazine Winter 2011 was shot by the brilliant Mariano Vivanco. I'm brought back to a time of classic beauty, with oversized jackets, pointed-toe heals, and bold brows. The woman who is powerful and classy but who's not afraid to wander alone down the streets of the real New York. She is a New York woman.

Tripping

One of my most favorite fashion collection videos of all times. I felt the need to post this because the weather was so unseasonably warm today and all I felt like doing was breaking out the spring pastels, brightly colored sunglasses, and jumping into the car for a spur of the moment road trip! Too bad the fantasy, and the weather, were short lived. Back to work, and coldness, tomorrow.
Of course Prada never fails to life my spirits ANY time of the year :) Bring on the feuding housewife beauties of the 60's! Kill them with color ladies...

Yesterday I attended a retail conference with Stacey Bendet, founder of Alice and Olivia, as a keynote speaker. It was so inspirational to hear about the growth and transformation of her brand starting with a single pair of pants to becoming an international company. Her latest launch was a shoe collection in 2011. She showed us this promotional video as an example. I love the shiny, chunky wedges and bright colors. It was such a great day and I learned so much about the retail industry.
