I've been loving this Urban Outfitters blazer lately simply for its incredible versatility.  It can easily be taken from a chic, pulled-together work or day ensemble, to a bold, eye-catching night look.  I find its just one of those pieces that can effortlessly be incorporated into my wardrobe, and it never fails to draw attention.

Strolling through the city in the trench that has become permanently formed to my body like a cocoon. Sometimes the juxtaposition between covered and exposed blends so perfectly that clothing and skin take on their own form. What lies beneath can only be imagined by whats seen.

When in Rome

Just returned from a whirlwind 12 day trip to Milan, Florence, and Rome. The beauty, culture, and landscape of Italy is unparalleled. Each city holds a unique allure that captivates and intoxicates. History blends with reality creating a time and place unlike any other and you find yourself wandering the narrow streets unsure of where you are but never wanting to leave.

This latest beauty product by Lush was given to me as a present a while ago, and I'm finally getting around to writing about it. Lip scrubs have always been a staple in my beauty routine, so I was very excited to try this scrub by one of my favorite brands. Of all the scrubs I've tried, this one is definitely at the top of my list. 

First of all, the smell is amazingly delicious. I'm wary of products that highlight their smell of foods because they usually end up being a sickeningly sweet version of that food. However, this scrub has the aroma of fresh mint and warm brown sugar.  It's simply intoxicating.  

While it feels slightly strange and grainy when applied, after you finish massaging it onto your lips and wiping it off, they are left feeling plump, smooth, and soft, and slightly tingly.  I would absolutely reccommend this product!

Ladies Night

Urban Outfitters Dress, H&M shoes

I decided to to take a risk, and test out this ensemble that blurs the lines between top and dress for a night out in the city. Admittedly, it's a little more top than dress, but I couldn't resist.  I also was having a silver moment with this jewelry that I stacked on unforgivingly, and also decided to try my new suede lace-ups purchased on a whim at H&M.  

Ponytails are not usually my go-to hairstyle, but something about the playful feel of the outfit, along with the neck-grazing feather earrings, begged for a high pony.   

This was the last night before the weather got cold again, so I figured I'd take advantage of it before I would be forced to go back into the hibernation of jeans, leggings, and sweaters.

Spring Fling

Life is so crazy around spring time that sometimes I forget to stop and savor it. Fragrant buds fill the air and winter creatures come out of hibernation and into the crisp, cool air. But best of all is the bright, vibrant hues that pop up like flowers in the catalogues and windows as if they knew our bleak winter eyes needed a shot of color. 

Spring is the time to splurge on that special piece that feels as good to wear as the smell of sweet spring air.
